Your voice is measured on your device. We never store your recordings. This page says exactly what leaves your device, who gets it, and what we keep.

To hear your words, the audio is transcribed by your browser’s speech service or by our transcription provider, Deepgram, which deletes it after transcribing and never trains on it.

Your words go to our AI provider, Anthropic, to play the other person and coach you. If you choose studio voices, the lines they speak go to our voice provider as text. Neither gets your audio.

We keep your scores and short summaries, not your voice. Your email only if you give it to us.
The site itself has no ad trackers, no cookie banner, and we never sell your data. The free text tools run entirely in your browser: nothing you type leaves the page.
Your voice and words
When you speak into SpeakWings, your browser measures how you sound: pace, pauses, pitch and loudness. That happens on your phone or computer. We never store your recordings. If you turn on benchmark clips, they are kept in your browser only, on that device.
To hear your words, the audio is transcribed by your browser’s speech service or by our transcription provider, which deletes it after transcribing and never trains on it. Your words go to our AI provider to play the other person and coach you. We keep your scores and short summaries, not your voice.
You can turn off AI coaching on your words in the app’s privacy settings. Takes are then scored on delivery only, and nothing leaves your device.
The free text tools (the confidence checker, the salary script builder and the “tell me about yourself” builder) run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type leaves the page.
What we keep
- Without an account, your practice record lives in your browser. You can download a backup or erase it from the app at any time.
- With an account, we keep your email, your plan and your practice record: scores, dates, short summaries, your goals, and the notes and answers you choose to save. Never audio.
- If you sign up for emails, we keep your email, where you signed up, and the exact consent words you agreed to, with the date. The box is never pre-ticked.
- If you buy, Stripe handles the payment. We keep your plan and an access key so you can restore access on a new device.
We don’t sell your data, we don’t share it for advertising, and we don’t use your voice or your words to train AI models.
Who processes data for us
Each provider only gets what it needs to do its job.
Speech-to-text
Deepgram
- What it gets
- The audio of a finished answer, only when your browser can’t turn speech into words on the device (for example Safari, iPhone and Firefox)
- Kept
- Deleted after transcribing. We opt out of its model-improvement program on every request, so it isn’t used for training.
Browser speech service
Google (Chrome) or Microsoft (Edge)
- What it gets
- Your audio, only if you turn on Cloud transcription in the app’s privacy settings. It is off by default.
- Kept
- Under your browser maker’s own terms, not ours.
AI provider
Anthropic
- What it gets
- The words you said and that take’s delivery numbers, to play the other person and to coach you. Never audio.
- Kept
- Not used to train its models under its commercial terms. It may keep requests for a limited time for safety review, under its own policy.
Voice provider
Rime (ElevenLabs as a backup)
- What it gets
- The text of lines spoken aloud to you, only if you choose studio voices. Never your audio.
- Kept
- Not stored by us.
Payments
Stripe
- What it gets
- Your payment details and email when you buy. We never see or store your card number.
- Kept
- By Stripe, as payment and tax law requires.
Accounts database
Supabase, Canada region
- What it gets
- If you create an account: your email, your plan, and your practice record (scores, dates, short summaries, goals and the notes or answers you choose to save). Also emails from our signup forms.

- Until you ask us to delete it.

- What it gets
- Your email address, only if you signed up for emails.

Hosting
Our web host
- What it gets
- Standard request data to serve the site, such as your IP address and browser type.

- Short-lived server logs.
Some of these providers process data in the United States. Account data is stored in Canada.
This website
No ad trackers, no advertising pixels, no cookie banner, because there are no tracking cookies to ask about. If you sign in, your browser keeps a sign-in session so you stay signed in. The app can count anonymous usage events (like “finished a session”) only if you turn that on, and never with audio, words, scores or your name.
How long we keep it
- Recordings: never stored by us. Audio sent for transcription is deleted after transcribing.
- Account data: until you ask us to delete it.
- Email signups: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record of your consent, and of your unsubscribe, as the law requires.
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can withdraw consent to emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email. We answer within 30 days. We follow Canada’s federal privacy law (PIPEDA). If you aren’t happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
SpeakWings is built for adults preparing for work conversations. It isn’t meant for children.
